What Project Xposure Is All About

Project Xposure is a 501(c)3 Non-Profit Organization that was created to serve the underprivileged youth in underserved communities across the nation.

We strive to create opportunities through community events, mentoring, and elite athletic training in order to establish trade schools throughout the nation which provide career education, entrepreneurship skills, athletic training, and an invaluable network of support to children & young adults who have limited access and resources to attend college.

Andre Collins and Amber Elliott are both former D1 athletes that grew up on the Eastern Shore. They started working together five years ago, using sports to attract kids to youth events where they would use their skills & network to help underprivileged kids succeed through counseling, mentoring, community workshops, after-school tutoring, and athletic training. In order to make a greater impact, Project Xposure, Inc. was created in November 2021 as a 501 (c)(3) non-profit corporation.

The purpose of this corporation is to work together to provide underprivileged youth with career development, entrepreneurship skills, and education through athletics.

Project Xposure is dedicated to providing an inclusive and safe space with various resources and partnerships for career development and essential life skills all while improving physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development through athletics.

Project Xposure's mission is to build a Youth Center Trade School for young people (ages middle school through young adult) where students will be exposed to various trades, certifiable skills, and career paths while offering them the opportunity to participate in competitive sports leagues in order to create a supportive & healthy environment, allowing them to not only be successful individuals but also productive & contributing members of their local communities.

Our immediate goal is to raise $250,000 for initiating the building process and developing programs

In order to accomplish our organization's mission, we will need to satisfy the following benchmarks

1. Raise money for a Building Fund through fundraisers and incredible donors in order to build a trade school facility with a sports complex.

2. Establish a minimum of 8-10 career and trade partnerships with local leaders & experienced tradesmen, around which we will develop programming to expose students to various trades and identify where aptitudes match.

3. Register 50 students into one of the career development programs and evaluate the effectiveness and outcome for each upon completion.
4. Create recreational programs for 200 underprivileged young people/members of Project Xposure, Inc. that will strengthen community bonds & provide resources for underprivileged youth.
5. Create jobs for community volunteers in teaching, coaching, tutoring, and refereeing, as well as launch a free small business accelerator program within the trades taught, to help graduates implement their trade education & start their own businesses, as a result of our career development efforts over the next five years.

6. Develop a national network of supporters & volunteers in order to advance students' career opportunities and establish several internship options.
7. Identify opportunities for all citizens to improve their quality of life through education, training, and entrepreneurship.

8. Replicate the mission and process throughout underprivileged communities across the nation.

We believe all youth can embrace who they are,
can define their future, and can change the world.

Our Vision

We envision a trade school for children and young adults, ages 12 - 23 that will utilize business professionals throughout the community to teach each student skills and trades that will help them reach their full potential and become extremely confident and productive members of our community. Integrating sports education and athletic training will help our students develop moral character, a strong work ethic, teamwork, and management skills as well as create new opportunities that will increase their potential for success.
